Fall Fashion Forecast!

Fall fashion is already underway, so here is a look at this season’s hot items and looks.

Closet Staple: Denim

Denim seems to (thankfully) never go out of style. This season is no different. Denim dresses, jackets, and jeans are popping up in all washes and cuts. Don’t put those shorts away either; pairing them with sweaters and booties is a cute transitional look. The best part about jeans is the many styles available. While skinnies are definitely still in, they are no longer the only option. Flair, straight leg, and high waisted styles are gaining momentum, too.

We love all the colours of fall in this look featuring these new Dear John girlfriend jeans.

The Must Have Staple: Animal Print

Animal print is available to outfit you head to toe. Scrunchies and scarves to heels and booties, and all types of prints are popular this season. It can give off a boho, sporty, or polished vibe depending how you style it. Plus, this versatile print goes with anything.

This snake print skirt is to die for!

The Embark sneakers are perfect for running errands.

I love the oversized print on this sweater!

Color Must Haves: Nature Inspired Tones

Fashion is embracing natural occurring fall tones. Rust, olive, copper, and mustard are very prevalent. Envision pumpkin patches and changing leaves. A basic item in one of this colors can become a staple and add a fall pop to any outfit. Or, choose a jumpsuit or dress to have a one piece fall ensemble.

Put Your Best Face Forward!

Makeup trends are also following the nature inspired tones. Baby blue is returning in a new modern fashion, usually worn lower on the lid or even as eyeliner. Warm tones are also not going anywhere. One of my favorite looks right now is a monochromatic face. For example, peach on eyes, cheeks, and lips. If you’re new to this trend, Colourpop has great, affordable options to dip your toes in a monochromatic look. I love their new peach collection.

Pairing makeup with your look is also trending. I like to go monochromatic or look for subtle complementary colors; for example, if I’m wearing purple or plum, I’ll pair it with a gold eye look.
