Must-Have Dresses for Fall

Who says fall means no more showing my knees? I am a firm believer in the dress. The dress is comfortable, it's not constraining, and it gives my legs little kisses as I move--wonderful! Dresses can find their place in the colder seasons easily, all you need are the right shoes and some fabulous accessories.

Striped Night $44.50

Jacket:14102A - Olive $44.50

The Striped Night dress was one of my favorite fall dresses in the store. It could be because it's green (I love green). Not only was this dress extrememly comfortable, the open shoulder and ruffles across the chest made this dress feel feminine and classy. I wouldn't think twice about wearing this dress to the office. I tried adding the olive green jacket and loved the result: it made the outfit feel more casual, perfect for dinner with friends or a day spent out and about running errands.

Jacket: All That $64.50 Dress: Parker Flutter Dress $59.50

The Parker Flutter Dress had a wonderful pattern--it's colors easily transition from summer to fall and catch the eye. As mentioned before, I have bigger hips, and the dress hugged them, so make sure before you purchase to try it on! I felt that the All That jacket complemented the dress wonderfully. It was a girly and edgy addition to the outfit. A chunky knit sweater or leather jacket would pair with the Parker Flutter Dress as well.

Mahalo Kimono Dress $72.50

Out for drinks last night I saw a woman wearing this dress behind the bar. She looked fabulous. The large flowers and stunning wine/burgundy/pink color make me think of days spent at the winery. It has a low v-neck (one of my favorite necklines) and elastic waistband. The material isn't thick, but it isn't thin either so keeping warm in the dress once the weather gets cooler will be no problem!

Floral Paradise $49.50

This may sound weird, but I loved putting this dress on. You wrap it, like a robe. Of course, these colors are the epitome of autumn and looked wonderful with the short booties I paired with them. I feel like in this picture, instead of standing in Sophie, I should have been outside tossing leaves into the air. What I loved about this dress was the gorgeous high-low ruffled skirt. Every now and then it would give a peak of leg and looked fabulous when I walked.

Polka Me Crazy Dress $54.50

Immediately after putting the Polka Me Crazy Dress on, I felt like Reese Witherspoon in the movie Sweet Home Alabama. Go full Reese by changing out these brown booties for brown knee-high boots. Highly recommend. The material on this dress stretches so I was comfortable with every movement (and was able to take it off!--been there, got stuck in that). I loved the ruffled turtleneck and dainty dots covering the dress, because I felt so classy and feminine. This dress would also look great with a leather jacket or paired with large, gold statement earrings.

Writer's Note: Shoes in all pictures are Lucky Brand's Fai, $110
